News: Kurt Busch might be kept out of Sunday's race by his team after the NASCAR Nextel Cup champion was cited for reckless driving.
Geoff Smith, president of Roush Racing, would not say Busch was out of the car for the Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. But the team was fitting a seat in the car for Kenny Wallace, and Busch was nowhere to be seen.

'Unfortunately, because it involved late detail that came in last night and sponsors being on the East Coast, we're having to sort through this right in front of you here this morning,' Smith said. 'We're not quite sorted out yet.'
Asked if Busch is out of the car for sure, Smith replied: 'No, we don't know that. All that is going on is we're exploring every statement option, discipline option that we have available and then we'll come and say what it is we're going to do.'
